It may be the office,
it may be the dining room table,
it may even be outside on the deck if the weather is good (my favourite place to paint!)
I figured if I wait for my perfect space I will be missing out on a whole lot of creating! My poor family puts up with me. I seem to leave a trail behind me and more often than not the table is too full of paint and brushes for us to be able to eat at it!
Ok, ok, gently now.... this photos the 'in progress' one!
I hope that you get a workspace soon. I used to have it like you. And I was spending a lot of time unpacking and packing stuff. Making stuff in the garden are so nice! I also do that when we got summer here in Norway.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing!
I can imagine that the garden is highly inspiring! =) Thanks for sharing your space with us! =)
ReplyDeleteI also work all over the house, luckily everyone in my family is pretty messy though they don't really notice my stuff.
ReplyDeleteSounds like me...work where things are comfortable!
ReplyDeleteI finally quit fighting it and claimed the dining room as my "studio" The rest of the house is a lot neater now! Thanks for sharing your space!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your outdoor space! It looks perfect for painting!
ReplyDeleteWorking outdoors must be great!
ReplyDeleteI would love to paint at your outdoor table! That looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteI have a room to my self and quite enjoy it. The best part is it has a door I can close on my mess :) Would LOVE to be able to paint outside, but when the weather is nice enough here - we have flies and mosquitoes.
ReplyDeleteYep, I have the dining room mostly, bedroom too, garage too ... office bedroom. I'm everywhere.
ReplyDeleteLove place, and how lucky of have an space at outside to could work.
ReplyDeleteGreat to have a flexible workspace. I love to take my knitting outside on the deck when I can too.
ReplyDeleteI am sure that being outside WOULD be fabulous inspiration!
ReplyDeleteIm with you on the loft! That would be fabulous! But yea, just a dream. I would love to have an outside space!
ReplyDeleteLove the outdoor space, bright light and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLooks great. We all dream of a special place. Frankly, I'd love to have a special placed to organize and store materials. I'm perfectly happy in the family room because that's where we all gather.
ReplyDeleteWhat's a 'dining room table'? LOL
Looks good....it is nice to have a dedicated space but sometimes I feel out of the loop!
ReplyDeleteAlso love to sew on the deck...I can be seen in the summer dragging sewingmachine and everything up to it.
Lol Calli - Its the table we eat dinner at (when its free) in the dining room.
ReplyDeleteOk, you are all making me feel very grateful for my outdoor space. Its great for photo taking too!
I also love working outdoors- sometimes I spend time drawing my sketches on the terrace! Not the right kind of wheather now, too hot, already 38C daily!
ReplyDeleteI agree that waiting for perfection would cause a loss of creation! :)
ReplyDeleteWhatever works for you is exactally right, so dont be embarrased!! Mine is normally a huge mess, but since I dont have half of my stuff, its only half a mess.
ReplyDeleteYou are organized in all of your space :) It's so nice you can sit outdoors!
ReplyDeleteYou have the right attitude - Why wait!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get a space all your own soon! I will be taking over our new second bedroom as a sewing room/tv room/guest bedroom. It should be interesting. It's all a journey, right??
ReplyDelete"in progress" seems to be the theme of my life... your space is great, and it is wonderful you can go outside to paint as well!
ReplyDeleteI seem to leave a trail too! My mother and boyfriend are convinced I shed beads
ReplyDeleteI would definitely work outside of I could :)
ReplyDeleteOutside, hmmm... That is a good idea.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. I really like your outdoor space :)
ReplyDeletei love to work outside too... btw the picture with yourself in it - i though it looks like myself ;) i have a red jacket like this and my haircut and color resembles yours... well at least in this shot i had to look twice ;)
ReplyDeletewhat fun to see all the work spaces! Thanks for the peek inside f your creative life:)
ReplyDeleteSometimes I don't think we could create if we had clean clear spaces! Like painting that first stroke on the white canvas; but once made it is easier to make more!
