Collaborative art

I am presently woking towards a local art exhibition which involves both individual and collaborative pieces. Myself and a group of fellow artist friends have joined forces, to each create our own piece and another related collaberative piece. Sharing a painting with someone else, has been an interesting, if not daunting process so far. Our overall theme amongst our group is "Let there be Light" and the joint canvas I am sharing with Ursula of Studio Christel is titled "A New Day"  Below are some pics to show the beginnings of our creation. More to follow!

Ready for the next stage

And whilst on the subject of collaborations, check out these masterpieces created by willing children from my church. Their individual pieces of mini loose canvases have been grouped together to form collaborative pieces of art, to be auctioned off for a fundraiser.

  1. Sounds like such an interesting process! I bet it helps stir up the creativity to bounce ideas off of each other as you work.

  6. What a truly inspirational collaboration. I love the theme, and it's both a learning experience as well as fun when you work with others to create. I love the children's art work, I wonder it wouldn't be by any chance be for an International small art for the heart exhibition in Michigan? Reason I ask is that it is part of an exhibition I am also part of and all proceeds go to charity raising awareness of neglected and abused children. Most of the participants are from adults/children around the world and inside the USA who have created small art. x

    1. Ana - no this is something I am doing with my church in New Zealand but I would be very interested to read about your expo if you have a link. Sounds like something I have been pondering for a while now.
